Brennan was scheduled for a post-op check-up for his skull. Since we're in Reno now, Brennan and I got to fly in for the 5-minute appointment. Brennan did really well on the flight in; he slept from take off to landing. However, he was a bit testy for the rest of the trip due to the upheaval of his life and the 2 day absence of his daddy. His appointment went fine, by the way. He's healing great, and his hair creates a halo around his head where we put the vitamin E on his scar.
He stayed with my in-laws, but I only have pictures from visiting with his cousins. It's been so long since I've seen my nephew and niece. I was expecting that my niece, who was only a few weeks old when I last saw her, would take more time to warm up to me, but she was all smiles for me. My nephew, Alex, apparently thinks I'm a stranger which means that if I try to talk to him I get a scowl. I did my best to get it on camera but was only mildly successful. He started to warm up to me by the end of our visit.
This was one of the happier moments of them all together. With how young Savanna is, Alex hasn't had to entirely learn how to share yet (I have no doubt that he will soon enough). So, Alex brought out a certain amount of aggressiveness in Brennan. It was interesting to see him like that. For the most part, Jaden has learned to share now, so I wasn't used to that behavior from Brennan. Or maybe it was just the new setting thing. Who knows?
